In response to "Pity the poor Hershey workers" (Oct. 1, Letters): In 1996 I lost my job at the Campbell Soup Co. I was there 34 years. It was very hard.
I went to Hershey in 1997. I was privileged to work there 10 years. Again, my job got up and left.
Hershey workers are dedicated and want jobs.
It is very traumatic to have a job you have worked at 20 or 30 years just get up and leave. No one wants pity; they want jobs.
