To the man in the red car on H and 17th Monday morning: I noticed a slowdown as I approached the intersection. There was a small red car with an open driver door. Thank you for getting out of your car in the middle of a messy intersection at rush hour to assist a wheelchair-bound man over the curb. An additional nod to all of the other drivers for waiting patiently while you helped. Traffic congestion in our city is worsening all the time, but it's wonderful to see people looking out for each other.
