This June, we will vote for a new Superintendent of Schools for Stanislaus County. Our superintendent helps set the tone for education and we need to be selective on whom we elect.
Don Davis is the right person to be the next Stanislaus County Superintendent. Don’s proven record for turning around a low-performing school, balancing a school district budget, advancing science and technology education, and instituting improvements in early literacy make him the best choice to lead education in our county.
I know the demands of leading educational institutions, small and large – it requires experience! Don has the unique qualifications of being an instructional mentor, administering a comprehensive K-12 school district with pre-school and adult school departments. And, having a doctorate in education, he serves as an adjunct professor for the Masters in Education Administration program.
Through workshops, Don shares his experiences with administrators across our nation. He believes all students can learn if taught well and provided support. He is endorsed by superintendents in Patterson, Newman, Hughson, Turlock, Riverbank, Stanislaus Union, Sylvan, Hickman, Hart Ransom and by former Stanislaus County Superintendent Martin Petersen. I’m happy to add my name to the list!
