At the Olympics opening ceremonies, Vice President Mike Pence and the sister of the North Korean leader were sitting just a few feet apart. What a missed opportunity for him not to turn and nod or extend his hand in greeting. The Olympics embody the spirit of peaceful and respectful interaction while the whole world is watching. For the U.S. to be gracious for just a moment might have put a tiny crack in the divisiveness between our countries.
