It has been over a month since the shooting in Las Vegas. Shooter Steve Paddock’s actions proved that “open carry” laws do not make you safer.
We just had another shooting in Texas, 26 churchgoers were killed. The Second Amendment guarantees your right to own guns. At the time it was written, we did not have weapons capable of firing hundreds of bullets a minute. In the aftermath of Las Vegas, there was talk of bans on such weapons. The response from some is “Bans don’t work” and “We need guns to keep our government in control.” I agree, bans won’t work.
Lift the ban on suing gun manufacturers for damages. With drones and other weapons the government possess, our guns would be useless.
