Re “Not one bit sorry for Kap (or mom)” (Letters, Oct. 15): I’ve been an NFL fan since the ’40s. I didn’t know football was “a game dedicated to American servicemen and women”! Actually, the NFL is dedicated to making money. Period!
Now, a young athlete jeopardizes everything he’s worked his entire life for to protest the deplorable conditions most of his teammates had to endure to join him in the NFL. Sounds pretty courageous to me.
