I am a white, Catholic, female “baby boomer” and I want to apologize to Muslim, black, brown, native American, captured military, handicapped, female and any other citizen who feels ostracized hearing all the vitriol coming out of Donald Trump’s mouth. He doesn’t represent me or probably a big chunk of us white folks.
I am ashamed and embarrassed that he is even in this election. Any other Republican would be more acceptable than this vile man. We are all part of the human family and we all bleed red. We need to be more compassionate and reach out to those who need help. I’m sure if Donald Trump and his family were citizens of any war-torn or impoverished country, he would want to do what he could to seek a better life, at least for himself.
I will not live in the hatred, racism and fear he espouses. You all better think very carefully about this election. At stake is a democracy or a dictatorship; voting for a third-party candidate or not voting will probably give us the latter. To me, it’s a choice between good and evil, right and wrong, dawn or midnight in America. Choose wisely!
