One teen killed, one hurt when car, bicycle collide in north Modesto

One teenager died and a second was seriously injured when their bicycle collided with a car in north Modesto Monday evening.

According to Modesto Police spokeswoman Heather Graves, officers were called to Keller and Sylvan Avenues at 8:45 p.m.
The accident involved a truck and two boys, both described in their late teens, on a bicycle. Both teens were taken to area hospitals; one, identified only as a 17-year-old, succumbed to his injuries.
