Oakdale man shot in leg

A 41-year-old Oakdale man told police he collapsed on F Street in front of the Oakdale 7-Eleven convenience store early Sunday because of a pain in his leg.

The man, whose name police did not release, then discovered that he had been shot in the leg. A motorist stopped and took the man to Oak Valley Hospital.

The two arrived at the hospital about 1:40 a.m. The man is expected to recover.

Police are following up on leads and ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call Sgt. Joseph Carrillo at (209) 847-2231.
