While the Stanislaus County Fair is in full swing this week, one Turlocker is headed to the California State Fair instead.

Fifteen-year-old Turlock resident Ansley Murillo will sing at the statewide event in Sacramento Saturday on the PG&E Center Stage. The Pitman High sophomore has been singing since the age of 3. Last month she performed at the Merced County Fair.

Murillo, who takes piano and vocal lessons at Ingram’s Music in Turlock, applied to perform at the fair and was selected based on the strength of one of a YouTube clip. She will be singing a 45-minute country music set at her fair appearance starting at 2:25 p.m.
