Student body officers from Patterson schools will host a trustee Candidates’ Forum at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13 at the district Professional Development Center, 510 Keystone Blvd., Patterson.
There are three races for Patterson Joint Unified School Board, each with two candidates. A short term seat in Area 4 has two contenders, certified medical assistant Angelica Reyes and parent Alyssa Homen.
Two full-term seats will be a face-off, in Area 5 between incumbent Jose Reynoso and technology solution architect Jeffery Nosek, and in Area 7, between public relations director James Leonard and businessman Jeffrey Cross.
The student body officers will run and moderate the forum.
“This is an excellent opportunity to meet the candidates running for office in your area and while providing a meaningful lesson in leadership and the election process for our students,” said district Superintendent Phil Alfano.
