MJC to present college admission and transfer information

High school and college students looking toward their next educational steps can get information Sept. 3 at Modesto Junior College.

High school and college students looking toward their next educational steps can get information Sept. 3 at Modesto Junior College.

Representatives from 45 four-year colleges and universities will staff tables at MJC’s Transfer Day and College Night in the Student Center Rotunda on the east campus, 435 College Ave. Both events are free.

Transfer Day will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., targeting MJC students looking at transferring to four-year colleges. College Night, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., will assist high school students in making plans to pursue a college education.

University and college academic programs, admission procedures, transfers, financial aid, student life and more information will be available. Students will be able to go from table to table, collect literature and speak directly with representatives from each school.

Most representatives are from admissions offices, so students can hear firsthand what they need to do to meet admission requirements and can obtain information on programs, tuition and scholarships.

For more information, contact the MJC Career Development & Transfer Center at (209) 575-6239, or visit www.mjc.edu/transfer.
