Ag in Motion science lab opens for public views this week

Ag In Motion, a 53-foot mobile educational laboratory, will open for free viewings at local Save Mart Supermarkets throughout Stanislaus County. First up is a stop in Oakdale Wednesday.

Ag In Motion, an industry-supported mobile science lab, will open its doors to the public for free viewings this week at Save Mart Supermarkets.

First up is a stop in Oakdale from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday at 1449 E. F St., Oakdale.

Riverbank will get its chance from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday at the store at 2237 Claribel Road.

Friday, the Modesto Save Mart at 2100 Standiford Ave. will host Ag in Motion from noon to 6 p.m.

Patterson will be its Saturday stop, also from noon to 6 p.m., at the Save Mart at 1035 Sperry Road.

The 53-foot trailer travels among campuses throughout Stanislaus County offering free lessons on the role of science and technology in the production, processing and marketing of farm products.

Ag In Motion staff and members of the National Ag Science Center will be on hand to answer any questions and provide background on the purpose and benefits of AIM. Save Mart’s Big Red shopping cart and a live radio remote also will be there.
