UP CLOSE ART TOUR

Field trips to the Carnegie Arts Center in Turlock are letting Ceres fifth-graders get up-close lessons in art and a chance to create their own. By early May, all fifth-grade classes in the Ceres Unified School District will have visited the Carnegie to tour the current exhibition, “Central California Art Showcase,” and participate in a studio art lesson that focuses on shading and color value. On Thursday, Fowler Elementary visited the center. Today, students from Adkison Elementary will take the trip, and classes from Caswell, Don Pedro, Vaughn, Parks, Hidahl and Westport schools will visit during the week of April 29-May 2.
