Focus on Education (3/20/14)

The Waterford Unified School District board will hold a special meeting at 4p.m. today in the district boardroom, 319 N. Reinway Ave. Trustees will vote on a contract with district support staff, represented by the California School Employees Association. The pact would restore wages for staff outside child development programs to 2010-11 levels, a 3percent increase, plus a 2percent raise, all effective April1. An additional 2.25percent would be added July1, but there would be no salary hike in 2015-16. The deal includes improved health care coverage for staff working six hours a day.
