OAKDALE TO MEET
The Oakdale Unified School District board will meet at 6:30 p.m. today in the Oakdale City Council chambers, 277 N. Second Ave. The board will elect officers and recognize student award winners. RIPON TO MEET
The Ripon Unified School District board will meet at 7 p.m. today in the Ripon City Council chambers, 259 Wilma Ave. The board will consider seeking a waiver from the state’s 1,000 lowest schools list for Ripona Elementary School, which lost 52 points on its state-averaged score this year. Trustees are expected to approve a contract with teachers reinstating one furlough day and increasing the district health cap contribution to $1,500 annually for full-time employees. DENAIR TO MEET
The Denair Unified School District board will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the board room, 3460 Lester Road, Denair. District lawyer Roman Munoz will conduct a board study session on the Brown Act, conflict of interest and sexual harassment, and the board will hold a closed-door discussion of negotiations and personnel matters. A regular board meeting will be held Thursday.
TURLOCK TO MEET
The Turlock Unified School District board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Professional Development Center, 1100 Cahill Ave., Turlock. Trustees will consider a $420,518 proposal from FF&J Architects for the transportation repair facility project on F Street. The board will also elect officers. SYLVAN TO MEET
The Sylvan Union School District board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the district boardroom, 605 Sylvan Ave. Trustees will elect officers. The board will hold a public hearing on implementation of the Common Core curriculum and discuss modernization plans for Sylvan Elementary School. Trustees will be asked to approve an updated budget. HUGHSON TO MEET
The Hughson Unified School District board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the district office, 6815 Hughson Ave.. Trustees will elect officers and set the 2014 board calendar. The board will vote on accepting an Arrowhead Club donation for soccer goals and nets. Trustees will discuss the new state funding formula and lay out proposals for next year’s contract negotiations. STANISLAUS COUNTY MEETING
The Stanislaus County Board of Education will meet at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at its board room, 1100 H St. The board will swear in new board members Alice Pollard and Bob Vizzolini and re-elected member Kim Rose. Retiring members Luis Molina and Merle Kronberg will be recognized for their service. After a reception, the board will hear a financial report and vote on setting Jan.16 as Religious Freedom Day. The Riverbank Unified School District board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the district boardroom, 6715 Seventh St., Riverbank. SALIDA TO MEET
The Salida Union School District board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sisk Elementary School, 5250 Tamara Way, Salida. The board will elect officers and discuss changes to board policies. Trustees will be asked to approve an updated budget and consider the case of a probationary support staff member.
CERES BOND COMMITTEE TO MEET
The Ceres Unified School District Measure U Bond Oversight Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Caswell Elementary School, 1800 N. Central Ave., Ceres. The committee will get an update on projects and funding and consider a financial summary.
MANTECA TO MEET
The Manteca Unified School District board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the district board room, 2271 W. Louise Ave., Manteca. Trustees will elect officers and vote on a name for the MUVA Campus/Program. The board will discuss a master facilities plan and technology plan and consider reinstating the adult school vice principal job. It will also vote on a lease-leaseback contract with C.T. Brayton and Sons Inc. for the Manteca High School health science and medical tech career education project.
MANTECA BOND COMMITTEE TO MEET
The Manteca Unified School District Measure M Citizens Oversight Committee meeting will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the district board room, 2271 W. Louise Ave., Manteca. It will hear energy-savings projects that could qualify for Proposition 39 funds, presented by Stradling Yocca Carlson and Rauth, and a presentation on a land swap of Union Ranch East and Tesoro for the Tara site. The committee will vote on approving the June bond audit report and hear a bond overview report by California Financial Services.
