The woman fleeing from police in a stolen Ford Fiesta that caused a collision with four other cars at a busy Modesto intersection is being held in Stanislaus County jail on $100,000 bail.
Megan Riann Lively, 26, was arrested on suspicion of felony evading causing injury, possession of stolen property, auto theft and driving under the influence causing injury.
It was unclear after the crash occurred Wednesday afternoon whether Lively’s boyfriend and another woman in the car also would be arrested but neither were.
Lively was allegedly trying to flee from police when she crashed into a Volkswagen Beetle at Tully Road and Briggsmore Avenue.
The vehicles continued north and hit a Dodge traveling south on Tully. A Saturn and a Honda also were involved and sustained front-end damage. The Ford came to rest on its roof, between the Volkswagen and Dodge.
Lively, her passengers and at least two people from other vehicles were taken to local hospitals.
