The Ceres Police Department SWAT team surrounded an apartment complex and evacuated neighbors early Tuesday to capture the third suspect in a shooting that occurred earlier this month.
Working on a tip that the suspect was hiding in an apartment in the 1900 block of Darrah Street, officers surrounded the complex just after midnight, said Sgt. Jose Berber. After three hours and several announcements ordering the suspect to surrender, 33-year-old Esteban Godoy came outside and was arrested without incident.
Godoy is suspected of shooting two men near Hackett Road and Central Avenue on the evening of Sept. 11.
The victims suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and they have been released from the hospital.
