Stanislaus County sheriff’s officials on Monday afternoon were looking for the person who stabbed to death a 21-year-old Denair man early Sunday.
Alejandro Revuelta Maldonado was taken to Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, where he died from his stab wounds.
The stabbing was reported about 12:50 a.m. Sunday during a large party in the 3100 block of East Barnhart Road in Denair. Sheriff’s officials said Maldonado was hosting a party for his friend’s birthday.
An uninvited guest arrived at the party, and Maldonado asked the man to leave, officials said. Maldonado escorted the uninvited man off the property. Investigators said a struggle ensued between Maldonado and the man, and the unidentified man stabbed Maldonado.
Sheriff’s officials described the man as white and in his 20s with red hair and beard, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing a red baseball cap, a red plaid long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and boots. He last was seen leaving the area in a white vehicle.
Detectives did not release any further information Monday. They were asking the public to help identify and find the man.
