Two Sonora high students arrested for alleged sexual assault

Two Sonora High School students were arrested this week in connection with a sexual assault at a party in Tamarack in June, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department announced Friday.

Two Sonora High School students were arrested this week in connection with a sexual assault at a party in Tamarack in June, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department announced Friday.

The alleged sexual assault took place at a party where juveniles were consuming alcohol in the 600 block of Skyline Drive in Tamarack on June 21.

The 16- and 17-year-old suspects were arrested Thursday and booked into the Calaveras County Probation Department on suspicion of the sexual assault.
