Turlock police arrested a man Thursday suspected of robbing a homeless man two days in a row.

The victim reported the crimes Tuesday after the suspect threatened him with a knife and took his money for the second time in as many days near the area where he slept at Main and Center streets, according to police officer Mayra Lewis.

The suspect also told the victim he’d be back for more money and threatened to kill him if he didn’t have any.

Officers found the suspect, 35-year-old Robert Cortez, walking on Lander Avenue. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
