Police will look for drunken drivers this weekend starting Friday night with saturation patrols throughout Modesto.
The patrols are conducted by officers assigned solely to look for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The patrols, which focus on areas with frequent DUI crashes or arrests, will hit Modesto streets again on Saturday night.
Modesto police said those arrested face jail time, loss of their licenses and increased insurance rates. The patrols are funded by a grant from the state Office of Traffic Safety.
