Police are looking for a 52-year-old man missing under suspicious circumstances.
John Nissan last was seen in Turlock on Sunday, Officer Mayra Lewis said. His car also is missing.
A family member saw Nissan on Sunday morning. “He said he was going somewhere, and he left,” Lewis said. The next day, he did not show up for work and his employer called the family, which in turn called police.
“Nissan did not show up to work and has not been seen or heard from since,” she said. “This is unusual behavior for Nissan, and due to circumstances involving the investigation, Nissan’s disappearance has been deemed suspicious.”
She did not elaborate on the nature of the circumstances, saying only that the investigator assigned to the case developed information leading police to believe Nissan might be in danger.
Police said Nissan last was seen wearing a long-sleeved dress shirt of an unknown color, a gray pullover sweat shirt, black dress pants and white shoes. He’s described as 6 feet 7 inches tall, 250 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He has a fair complexion and wears glasses.
Nissan’s car is a gold 2007 Nissan Murano with California license plate 5WZM792.
Investigators ask anyone with information regarding Nissan’s whereabouts to contact Detective Brandon Bertram at (209) 664-7323.
