Police seek second suspect who hit a child during attempted carjacking

Police in Ripon are looking for a suspect in an attempted carjacking who allegedly hit a child trying to get out of the car.

According to authorities, two men tried to carjack a Honda in Ripon on Aug. 3. A child in the back seat tried to get out, only to be hit by the suspects.

Police made one arrest but are looking for Salvador Junior Moya, 23, of Ripon, who reportedly has been in hiding. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Police ask anyone with information about Moya's whereabouts to call the Ripon Police Department at (209) 599-2102 or the department's anonymous tip line at (209) 599-7847.
