Two men were arrested Monday night on suspicion of robbing three teenagers at a northeast Modesto park Monday night.
The boys, ages 15, 16, and 17, were at Sanders Park on Kodiak Drive about 10:15 p.m., said Modesto police Lt. David Van Diemen. They were leaving the park and had just gotten to their car when two men approached them.
One used his hand to simulate a handgun in his waistband and demanded belongings from the boys. The boys gave the men wallets and property, Van Diemen said. The suspects ran from the scene and the victims drove home and reported the crime.
After taking the victims' statements, officers returned to the area of the park and, based on descriptions given by the victims, found the suspects sitting in the garage of a home, with the door up.
Officers found one of the victim's wallets in a suspect's pocket, Van Diemen said. Patrick Rocca, 26, lives at the home in the 3000 block of Litt Road across the street from the park.
Rocca and the other man, Ruben Rios, 36, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy.
