Turlock police investigate armed robbery at grocery store

Turlock police are looking for a suspect in the armed robbery of a grocery store Wednesday afternoon.

According to Lt. Nino Amirfar, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in progress at Cost Less Market, 244 W. Main St. at 2:44 p.m. The suspect showed the clerk a handgun and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He was last seen riding a bicycle into a nearby neirhborhood.

The suspect is described as Latino, in his 20s, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, weighing roughly 250 pounds. He has a mustache and a goatee limited to the base of his chin.
