Turlock police released a few more details Friday on the arrest of two people on torture charges. Thursday morning, a SWAT team served a search warrant at a home in the 1300 block of East Linwood Drive, arresting Salvador Rendon, 42, and Martha Ferguson, 35.
The two are accused of torturing a victim with a gun in April; the circumstances of the allegation are unclear. But officer Mayra Lewis said Friday that the victim is an adult male and his injuries were not life-threatening.
There were three children in the home when police arrested Rendon and Ferguson. A fourth was at school. Their ages were not available.
Lewis said the children were not involved in the case. They were released into the care of Child Protective Services.
