A suspect in a Ceres shooting earlier this month has been found and arrested in Santa Clara County. According to Ceres police, authorities found Isaac Lanford, 33, of San Jose on Thursday.
Lanford was wanted in the April 16 shooting of a woman in the 1600 block of Evans Road. The 33-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg; she was treated at a local hospital and released that day.
A witness reported seeing a man matching the description of Lanford and a white woman with blond curly hair run across Evans Road near the incident. Police still are trying to determine the woman's identity.
Lanford will face charges in a separate case in Santa Clara County before being brought to Stanislaus County on the Ceres Police Department warrant.
