Modesto police arrested a 24-year-old man on charges of assault with great bodily injury after he got into a fight with a man dating the suspect’s mother.
According to Modesto Police Sgt. Rick Applegate, police arrested Fernando Roa after the fight Tuesday night at a home in the area of Coffee Road and Ensenada Drive.
“The victim was pushed down in front of the residence and hit head on the concrete when he fell causing his skull to fracture,” Applegate said in an email.
Emergency responders took the victim to a Modesto hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Wednesday.
