Sonora police trying to arrest a man on a felony warrant say they had to go through his mom first.
According to police, officers went to a Greenley Road apartment Saturday at 9:24 p.m. with a warrant to arrest Andrew Buzinskis, 24, of Sonora.
Buzinskis opened the door after police knocked on it, then he started to run back inside the apartment, officers said. Officers grabbed Buzinskis and a struggle ensued.
Buzinskis' mother, Threasa Hull, 48, of Sonora, tried to pull officers away from Buzinskis, police said. Both were cuffed and booked at Tuolumne County Jail — Buzinskis on the felony drug warrant, two misdemeanor warrants, a warrant for violation of sheriff's parole, misdemeanor resisting arrest and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hull was booked on charges of felony accessory and misdemeanor obstructing officers.
