Turlock police arrest man after chase

Police in Turlock arrested a 32-year-old man after he drove off from a traffic stop and led officers on a chase.
According to reports, an officer stopped Leonardo Lopez, 32, in the 1100 block of East Olive Avenue at 11:01 a.m. Tuesday.
Lopez drove away and a pursuit ensued. Police called off the chase because Lopez was driving erratically and they were concerned for public safety.
Officers later found the vehicle on Potomac Drive, and located Lopez walking in the area. He was arrested on charges of fleeing a peace officer and driving on a suspended license.
