Bandana-wearing man robs Modesto pizza store

Modesto Police are investigating a robbery at an Oakdale Road pizza preparer Tuesday morning. According to Lt. Jolene Gonzales, a man entered the Papa Murphys in the Lakes shopping center at 2601 Oakdale Road at 9:30 a.m.

According to Lt. Jolene Gonzales, a man entered the Papa Murphys in the Lakes shopping center at 2601 Oakdale Road at 9:30 a.m.

The man pointed a gun in the face of an employee and demanded money, Gonzales said. He took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Witnesses described the suspect as a white male, in his early 20s, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with blue writing and a bandana over his face. He was about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighed 170 pounds.

Nobody was injured in the robbery. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
