Perhaps they were celebrating an early Valentine’s Day.

Sonora Police cited a 72-year-old woman and 62-year-old man for indecent exposure after passersby reported seeing them involved in a sexual act in a car.

According to reports, the vehicle was parked at a business in the 600 block of Stockton Road when the call came in at 1:43 p.m. Tuesday.

“Customers were walking by observing the conduct,” police said in a news release.

An officer driving nearby as he heard the report pulled into the parking lot and found the car. “He then contacted the two unclothed occupants in the back seat of the vehicle,” police said.

Police cited and released the Earp woman and the Sonora man.
