Police are investigating a burglary at the Ritzy Ragz store on McHenry Avenue in Modesto early today.

Modesto Police Lt. Jeramy Young confirmed the burglary, which store owner Jen Kubala Horn said happened at 4:45 a.m. Surveillance footage shows a dark-colored lowered Chevrolet pickup pulling up. Someone shot a BB to shatter the window glass, then a woman wearing a hooded sweatshirt entered the store and burglarized it.

Horn described the suspect as 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a thin build and bangs.

"She probably has a gash on her head from hitting her head on the door on the way out," Horn said. The suspect also fell into glass on the pavement outside the store and likely skinned her knees.

"What the thieves should realize is the more break-ins, the less money businesses have to hire employees to get people back to work," Horn wrote in an email. "Ugh. A vicious circle."
