A federal judge Tuesday sentenced a Modesto woman to 18 months in prison for conspiring to commit postal crimes, U.S. Attorney Benjamin Wagner said.
According to court documents, Dawn Renee Wessling, 43, conspired with others to steal mail from authorizedU.S. mailboxes.
Wessling and co-conspirators acquired credit cards, merchant cards and convenience checks, in addition to account numbers and personal information about the victims. They used the information to buy merchandise for themselves.
