A 28-year-old Modesto woman is missing and her live-in boyfriend who was arrested in North Carolina while driving her vehicle is now being uncooperative with investigators, authorities said Wednesday night.
The disappearance of Eldoris Christine Graham, who has been missing since Dec. 15, is being deemed as "suspicious" and detectives are asking the public for help, according to Lt. Rick Armendariz of the Modesto Police Department.
Grahman's mother said she last spoke with her daughter Dec. 13, and called police two days later to report her as missing after she failed to show up for work.
Graham's mom indicated that her daughter had planned to head to the Bay Area with Anthony Coxum, 39.
Investigators spoke with Coxum, who told police he dropped Graham off in the Bay Area. As the investigation continued, Coxum had become "inconsistent in his statements and not forthcoming," Armendariz said.
On Dec. 27, Coxum was arrested on a probation violation in Fayetteville, N.C., by Cumberland County Sheriff's Office deputies while in Graham's vehicle.
He is no longer cooperating with detectives in the investigation into Graham's disappearance. Police are asking anyone with information regarding Graham’s whereabouts, to call Detective Michael Hicks at (209) 342-6132. You can also call Stanislaus Area Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636.
