Stockton police seek clues in shooting of Modesto woman

Stockton Police are looking for two teenagers in the Oct. 20 shooting death of a Modesto woman.

According to authorities, Denise Lemberg, 27, was with her boyfriend and another couple parked in front of a home at 4550 Mist Trail Drive.

Two teenagers walked up two the car and one opened fire, hitting Lemberg and a male passenger in the back of the vehicle.

Lemberg was taken to an area hospital, where she died.

Both suspects are described as Latino and 15-17 years old. One was 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 150 pounds, wearing a black, oversized short-sleeved shirt, dark pants and white tennis shoes. The second was 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 130 pounds, wearing a gray “Ben Davis” brand short-sleeved shirt with a white thermal shirt underneath, black Dickies pants and white shoes.

After the shooting, police said, the suspects ran south on Mist Trail Drive and then east on Abruzzi Circle.
