Police got a 911 call at 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday from a passer-by who saw the body of Jimmy Espinoza, according to Modesto police spokesman Lt. Rick Armendariz, who did not know how long the man had been dead.
Preliminary examination has determined that Espinoza died from at least one stab wound. Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have processed the scene and continue to interview witnesses in order to determine what led to Espinoza's death.
