Police have released the names of the victim and suspected shooter from a fatal drive-by Wednesday.

Simon White, 24, was killed in the 100 block of Vermont Avenue. Turlock police have identified 23-year-old Gabriel Miranda as the suspect.

Police said the motive is under investigation, but witnesses have identified Miranda as the gunman. He is considered armed and dangerous, police said. The firearm used in the drive-by has not been recovered.

About 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to Vermont Avenue, just west of Lander Avenue, for multiple reports of shots fired.

When officers arrived, they heard more shots but could not locate the source.

Investigators found White dead inside a home on Vermont.

The names of the other occupants of the house at the time of the homicide are not being released for safety reasons.

Police are asking for the public's help to apprehend Miranda but urge the community to be cautious around him.
