Man shot to death in south Modesto

UPDATE - A man was shot to death Thursday night in south Modesto, Stanislaus County sheriff’s Sgt. Kevin Davis said today. The shooting occurred at about 8:50 p.m. in the back yard of a residence on the 300 block of Olivero Road, off of Crows Landing Road.
Davis said the victim was Roberto Sanchez, 24, of Modesto. He was found on the ground near a series of volleyball courts, and had received multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders could not revive him, Davis said. Family members were at the scene when deputies arrived, he said.
Witnesses told investigators that multiple vehicles left the area after the shooting, but "we have no suspects at this time," Davis said.
