Authorities are investigating two incidents in which rocks were used to assault bicyclists on the American River Parkway trail in Sacramento, CBS 13 reported.
Two bicyclist reported this week they were hit with rocks as they rode on the bike trail north of downtown Sacramento, the station reported.
That incident follows another the week before in which a bicyclist reported a man grabbed his bike then hit him in the head with a rock. The victim suffered a collapsed lung, according to the station.
Authorities do not believe the incidents are related but victims in both described the suspects as homeless men.
