Stanislaus County home prices continue to bounce along on a generally upward trend, August sales data show.
Median-priced Stanislaus homes sold for $219,750 last month. That was about $5,000 more than what they went for in July, but $5,000 less than June’s median price, CoreLogic DataQuick sales statistics show.
All those prices, nevertheless, are substantially more than what houses sold for last summer. Stanislaus homes this August fetched about 18 percent more than those sold in August 2013.
That was about the biggest price bump in California, according to DataQuick numbers.
Statewide last month, the median home sales price was $393,000, up 8.9 percent from the previous August.
In San Joaquin County, median prices rose 13.9 percent to $265,500. In Tuolumne County, the $201,000 median sales price was a 7.8 percent increase.
Alameda County home prices have increased the most, rising 19.1 percent to a median of $610,000 in August.
