Info: The Modesto Police Department invites residents to meet with police staff for a Coffee with the Cops event. People are encouraged to share their concerns and suggestions and ask questions of members of the department about the community in which they live. No formal presentations will be made. Remnants of Tropical Storm Octave, downgraded from a hurricane, carried a 30 percent chance of rain, as per the National Weather Service’s predictions. The storm’s path was due north, over the Tehachapi mountain range, with the Central Valley and the Sierra Nevada in its sight.
