The days have been nice lately, with even Monday’s high of 95 in Modesto nothing to complain about for August in the Valley. But the nights have been even better – the moon big and beautiful in a clear sky. According to the National Weather Service, the high in Modesto today should be 90, and the day holds a slight chance of thunderstorms. Tonight should be mostly clear, with a low of 62. Those cool, clear nights will continue through the week, and daytime highs through Friday aren’t expected to go higher than 90. For more on the weather, go to Page B6 or www.modbee.com/weather.
