World Breastfeeding Week observed

To celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, Memorial Medical Center invited pregnant women and new moms with their babies to attend free festivities Friday at its Health Education Conference Center in Modesto’s McHenry Village. Breast-feeding support is available locally year-round. The Breastfeeding Coalition of Stanislaus County meets the first Monday of every month. For meeting dates and location, call (209) 558-7400. Coalition contacts are Julie Falkenstein at (209) 558-4436 and Rose Nunes at (209) 558-5083. For more information, visit the Stanislaus County Health Services Agency’s breastfeeding page at www.schsa.org/PublicHealth/mainpages/wic/breastfeeding.html.
