What: CAT NETWORK INFORMATION
When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Hart-Ransom School, 3930 Shoemake Ave.
Info: The Cat Network of Stanislaus will have an information booth available to educate the public about trap-neuter-return and the network’s program. Come out and meet local feral cat experts. For more information, call (209) 735-0604.

Where: Shelter Cove Community Church, 4242 Coffee Road
Info: Touch-A-Truck at the Cove is presented by Calvary Chaplaincy. Trucks and local law enforcement and service agency vehicles will be on display, including a Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department helicopter. There will be police K-9 demonstrations and bounce houses. Admission is free, refreshments will be available to purchase. For more information, call (209) 567-3200.
What: DEMOCRATIC CLUB MEETING
When: Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Sweet River Grill and Bar, 2600 Geer Road
Info: The Turlock Democratic Club’s monthly meeting will address issues and candidates of local concern. The club meets the second Wednesday of each month, and all interested parties are welcome. For more information, call (209) 485-0818.
25 YEARS AGO: The board of trustees for the Escalon Unified School District approved a contract that enabled sixth-grade students to use the San Joaquin County Outdoor Education Camp in La Honda during the week of April 23-27 of the next year. The district picked up the cost of the camp, which was $108 per student.
