Authorities identify bicyclist killed by train in Turlock

The Stanislaus County Coroner’s office on Tuesday identified a bicyclist who struck and killed Saturday by a train in Turlock Saturday as David Arthur Sanchez, 39, of Turlock.
According to Turlock police, Sanchez was riding a bicycle at the Fulkerth Road and Golden State Boulevard railroad crossing when he tried to cross the tracks ahead of a train at about 10:40 a.m.
The train blocked traffic at Fulkerth and Tuolumne roads for about four hours.
According to a gofundme.com site set up to help pay funeral expenses, Sanchez left behind three small children.
