A bicyclist was struck and killed Saturday by a train at the Fulkerth Road and Golden State Boulevard railroad crossing, according to Turlock police.
“The railroad crossing arms were apparently down when the bicyclist attempted to cross the tracks and was struck by the train,” according to a news release.
Turlock police, fire and ambulance services responded at 10:41 a.m.
The train blocked traffic at Fulkerth Road and Tuolumne Road until it was moved around 3 p.m. Police did not identify the bicyclist, saying only that he “appears to be an adult male.”
