The Yosemite Community College District Measure E Citizens Bond Oversight Committee has vacancies for student representatives from Modesto Junior College and Columbia College. The committee meets quarterly, tasked with informing the public about the use of bond funds, reviewing expenditures and creating an annual report for the $326 million bond measure passed in 2004. STRATFORD COLLECTS ITEMS FOR CHILDREN

Working with Sierra Vista Child & Family Services, The Stratford at Beyer Park assisted-living facility is asking local residents to donate toys, backpacks and clothing as part of its “Frozen” summer for children. In August, the children will be presented with the items and enjoy games and frozen goodies at an event hosted by The Stratford. Donations can be dropped off anytime through July at the Stratford, 3529 Forest Glenn Drive, Modesto. For more information, call Christina Mize at (209) 236-1900.
