Stanislaus County coroner officials are looking for the family of a transient man who died of natural causes at a Modesto hospital last week.
Timothy Mitts, 55, had been staying with friends in Modesto before he was admitted into hospice care.
More than a year ago, he had frequently stayed at the Modesto Gospel Mission. Mitts died on June 20, and coroner officials have not had any luck finding his family.
The Coroner’s Office asks anyone with information on how to contact Mitts’ family to call Deputy Coroner Eugene Day at (209) 567-4582.
